After Nd-YAG

1. Cool packs or cool, wet compresses may be used; avoid ice packs
2. Cortisone preparation may be used to decrease epidermal reaction.
3. Make-up may be used as long as skin is not broken.
4. For blistering or crusting, an antibiotic ointment of choice may be used as indicated.
5. Avoid hot water for 24 hours.
6. Cleanse skin gently with tepid water, and hydrate with a suitable moisturizer.
7. No sun exposure following treatment for one week.
8. Use sun block SPF 30 for unavoidable sun exposure. Zinc oxide is best.
