Liposuction of the Neck

Neck liposuction is a procedure to remove excess fatty tissue from the neck to reduce the appearance of a "double chin".  Although there is the perception that the procedure is strictly about fat removal, the reality is only a small amount of fat is actually removed from the neck. The disruption of the facial planes that occurs during the procedure  is what actually contributes most to giving the neck its "tighter "appearance. This procedure is frequently done in conjunction with other procedures such as a corset platysmaplasty.
