Megapeel vs. Chemical Peels
The MegaPeel is a microdermabrasion device that has been widely used as a cosmetic tool in Europe for over 10 years, and has been popular in the United States since 1996. It precisely removes dead cells, layer by layer, until fresh new cells appear.
Traditional Chemical Peels are performed in a doctor’s office using varying strengths of glycolic acid or triloracetic acid (TCA) to remove the top layers of skin. After Chemical Peels, the patient typically feels some pain and experience redness and scabbing over the treated area.
Natural Exfoliation…Exfoliating Naturally
Younger skin naturally exfoliates every 15-20 days. Shedding the dead skin cells allow fresh, plump, new cells to appear on healthy skin. Aging, environment, nutrition and even cosmetics inhibit natural exfoliation. As a result, the dead skin cells remain on our skin causing a dull, aged appearance.
MegaPeel treatments assist the exfoliation process by manually removing the dead cells on the surface of the skin and allowing new cells to appear, resulting in a smoother, younger, fresher appearance of the skin.
