After YAG
- Cool packs or cool, wet compresses may be used; avoid ice packs
- Cortisone preparation may be used to decrease epidermal reaction.
- Make-up may be used as long as skin is not broken.
- For blistering or crusting, an antibiotic ointment of choice may be used as indicated.
- Avoid hot water for 24 hours.
- Cleanse skin gently with tepid water and hydrate with a suitable moisturizer.
- No sun exposure following treatment for 1 week.
- Use sun block SPF 30 for unavoidable sun exposure. Zinc oxide is best.
